Parent Organization

A foundational belief at Cornerstone Christian School is that God’s Word charges parents with the responsibility to educate their children. Moreover, a parent’s educative role is comprehensive and encompasses a child’s spiritual, moral, intellectual, and physical development. Additionally, the Bible establishes the local church as an integral part of the Christian experience and thus of a Christian home. Consistent with this Biblical pattern, Cornerstone Christian School stands in partnership with the Christian home to assist parents in educating their children.

And these words that I command you today shall be on your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise."

Deuteronomy 6:6-7

CCS Parent Teacher Organization (PTO)

The Cornerstone Christian School PTO exists to provide parents with an opportunity to meet one another, gain a greater insight into the school’s programs, and actively participate in activities that benefit all students and teachers. PTO members volunteer time, energy, and talents to bless our school in a variety of ways. All parents are invited to attend the monthly PTO meeting to learn about upcoming events and volunteer opportunities. Participating in the PTO is a great way to enrich each family’s experiences at CCS.

Monthly meetings will ordinarily be held on the first Monday of the Month at 2:30 pm. The principal will either be in attendance or be filled in on areas of discussion following the meetings. If there are items that require CCS Board Approval, a PTO representative will attend the first part of the School Board Meeting to discuss. (Board Meetings are ordinarily on the last Monday of the month at 5:00 pm.)
