TUITION POLICY

Tuition is necessary in order for CCS to fulfill it’s mission of developing students with a heart for God. In support of this, parents are expected to commit themselves to meet financial obligations promptly in accordance with Biblical stewardship and to comply with the following policy.

The school has contracted with FACTS Tuition Management Company for the processing of all tuition payments.

• One-time Annual Fee - A $50 annual processing fee per family is required for using this service and will be automatically drafted from your account by FACTS within 14 days of the agreement being posted to the FACTS system.

• Through FACTS, monthly payment options (10 or 12 months) are available.

Because the hiring of teachers/staff, plus the ordering of textbooks and other classroom materials are based upon enrollment, withdrawals are subject to the following obligation:

• Withdrawals after July 1st - one month tuition is due

• Withdrawals after the start of the school year - the current month tuition is due

Parents are expected to pay tuition and fees in a timely manner, according to the current Schedule of Tuition and Fees.

Tuition that becomes two months past due will subject the student to being withheld from attending school until such amounts due to CCS are made current.

TUITION ASSISTANCE

Tuition assistance awards are based on the family’s demonstrated need as determined by a third-party agency that makes financial needs assessments for private and Christian schools. Each award is made for one year only, based on the availability of tuition assistance funds.

STATEMENT OF FAITH

The foundation of Cornerstone Christian School is the Word of God, interpreted especially in the Westminster Confession of Faith.  The following statements express the essential elements of Christianity that will be unapologetically taught at all grade levels and lived out by Cornerstone Christian School Staff and students, both at and away from school.

1. We believe in the Bible to be the infallible Word of God and the Truth, requiring our unreserved submission in all areas of life. (Deut. 18:18; Jer. 1:9; Prov. 30:5; 2 Tim. 3:16; 2 Pet. 1:21)

2. We believe in one God, the sovereign Creator and Sustainer of all things - infinite, eternal, and unchanging - existing in three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. (Gen. 1:1, 26; Matt. 3:16-17; Matt. 28:19; John 14:26; II Cor. 13:14; Eph. 4:4-6)

3. We believe that God the Father, motivated by love and mercy established His covenant of grace with man, promising to deliver His chosen ones from their sinful condition, removing the curse of their sin, reconciling them to Himself, and giving them eternal life through a personal relationship with Him.  who repent and place their faith in the Lord Jesus Christ; and that all who truly believe in Him are eternally saved on the basis of His shed blood. (John 3:16-18; Rom. 6:23; Rom. 8:31-34; 1 Cor. 15:3-4; Gal. 2:16; Eph. 2:8-9; I Pet. 3:18)

4. We believe in the deity of the Lord Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, His sinless life, His miracles, His substitutionary death as the punishment of our sins, His bodily resurrection, His ascension to the Father, and His personal return in power and glory. (Isa. 7:14; Matt. 1:19-24; Matt. 25:41; Matt. 28:5-6; Mark 16:6; Luke 24:6-7; John 5:28- 29; John 11:25-26; Rom. 6:5; I Cor. 15:3-4)

5. We believe that salvation is by grace through faith in Jesus Christ, completely apart from human merit, and that the act of coming to faith is a work of grace performed by the Holy Spirit, producing a new creature in Christ. (John 3:16-18; Rom. 6:23; Rom. 8:31-34; 1 Cor. 15:3-4; Gal. 2:16; Eph. 2:8-9; James 2:14-17; I Pet. 3:18)

6. We believe that faith without works is dead and that we are created to glorify God and enjoy Him forever. (Ps. 150:6; Matt. 5:16; I Cor. 10:31; Heb 13:15 James 2:26;)

7. We believe that the Holy Spirit is alive and active today. He convicts us of our sin, gives us a new nature, lives within us, and guides us, changing our desires and enabling us to live a Godly life. (John 14:16, 26; John 16:13; Acts 2:38; Romans 8:11, 27; Eph. 1:13; Phil. 2:13; 2 Tim. 1:7)

8. We believe in and look forward to the Lord Jesus Christ’s return to earth to judge the living and the dead and to complete the eternal plan of God. (Matt.16:27; John 14:3; 2 Cor. 5:10)

9. We believe that all believers are under the mandate of Jesus Christ to proclaim the Gospel to all the world. (Matt. 24:14; Mark 16:15; Acts 1:8)

10. We believe that God granted the gift of intimacy to marriage between one man and one woman. Therefore, no intimate sexual activity should occur outside of marriage. (Gen. 2:18-25; 1 Cor. 6:18; 7:2-5; Heb. 13:4)

11. We believe that human life is sacred and created by God in His image. Human life is of inestimable worth in all its dimensions, including pre-born babies, the aged, the physically or mentally challenged, and every other stage or condition from conception through natural death. We are therefore called to defend, protect, and value all human life. (Gen 1:27; Gen. 9:6; Ps. 139; Jer. 1:5; Job 12:10; Job 31:15)

12. We believe that God wonderfully and immutably creates each person as male or female at birth. Male and female genders are evident at birth, are permanent, and cannot be changed by act or deed of man. These two distinct, complementary genders together reflect the image and nature of God. (Gen. 1:26-27; Deut. 22:5; Rom. 1:24-27; Rom. 12:2; I Cor. 6:9-20; I Thess. 4:3-8)

The statement of faith does not exhaust the extent of our beliefs. The Bible itself, as the inspired and infallible Word of God that speaks with final authority concerning truth, morality, and the proper conduct of mankind, is the sole and final source of all that we believe. For purposes of Cornerstone Christian School’s faith, doctrine, practice, policy, and discipline, our Cornerstone EPC Session is Cornerstone Christian School’s final interpretive authority on the Bible’s meaning and application.
