Position: Voice, Musical Theatre
Bio: Amy Heard is delighted to be part of the Cornerstone School of Fine Arts! She has a Master of Music with Specializations in Vocal Performance and Musical Theatre. She has 20+ years of experience as a private Voice instructor, six years as a Guitar and Piano instructor, and previous years as a Dance Instructor and Choreographer. Having had extensive performance experience on stage and some Film, TV, and Voiceover credits, Amy has also used her gifts as a Drama instructor, Music Director, and Theatre Director. She has most recently been seen as Princess Fiona in “Shrek” at the historical Redford Theatre, and she was honored by the original Mary Magdalene in “The Living Stations of the Cross,” now known as “The Cross and the Light.” Amy currently works as an actress/songstress with Magic Carpet Theatre's Drama Ministry in "At His Feet, Women in Scripture,” for which she has written the music for the newly released CD. As a Singer/Songwriter, she won 2 Detroit Music Awards, Outstanding Christian Vocalist and Songwriter. Amy is currently the lead singer of Threefold Mercy, a Contemporary Christian band.
