Cornerstone Christian School's Athletic Program is dedicated to developing character through sports. We believe that competition presents challenges similar to those that students might one day face in life. Although these challenges may be on a smaller scale, the ways in which we overcome them and the lessons that we learn from them are the same. We strive to promote working together to conquer fears, overcome obstacles, find lessons/motivation in loss and to show humility in victory.

Basketball

SEASON: Fall
INFO: Our boys’ and girls' basketball teams are made up of students from grades 5th-8th. Practices start in October. Teams currently compete with seven other schools that make up our region of the MMIAA league. [Mid-Michigan Independent Athletic Association]
Cheerleading

LEVELS: One Varsity Cheer Squad
GRADES: 4-8th
SEASON: Fall
INFO: Our girls’ cheer squad is open to girls in grades 4th-8th. Practices start in October. We cheer at home games for boys’ basketball and compete in cheer competitions with other squads in the MMIAA. We plan and lead Spirit Week and the Pep Rally each year.
Cross Country

INFO: We are excited to be gearing up for Cross Country, which will begin Monday, April 8th. If your student is interested in running, please use the following payment link:
During the month of April, practices will be on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays from 3:45 to 4:30. There will be a total of 5 meets. The tentative schedule for meets is: Tuesday April 23, then Thursday May 2, 9, 16, and 23. During the month of May, practices will be on Mondays and Tuesdays.
Soccer

INFO: Our soccer team is open to girls and boys in grades 5th-8th. Practices start in August and continue until the tournament at the end of October. Our league consists of teams from local private, charter and home schools.
Volleyball

GRADES: 5-8th
SEASON: Fall
INFO: Practices start in August and continue until the season ends in October. Junior Varsity and Varsity girls’ teams compete as a fall sport.
